Petro Onysko is a content creator for some of the most recognizable brands in the world. We became friends through a mutual acquaintance. Ever since then, Petro has helped me bring a refined and professional touch to my projects through his photography. Petro mainly receives client prospects through referrals from past clients and through his instagram which has more than 20k followers. Even though having a website is not required for him to bring on new work, we agreed that it is still expected for a content creator of his caliber to have one. I was excited to help build his personal site.
Discovery meeting
I visited Petro at his apartment and we sat down for a meeting in the building's lounge. It was important to understand what was Petro's future business goals to figure out what services he wanted to offer, the work that he would be showcasing and the overall website user experience. We ended the meeting with a list of features that he wanted implemented for the site.

The process
Now that we have a list of requests and features we can start thinking about what pages will be created. I also setup a custom CMS(content management system) so that Petro can add new projects to the website and new work to each category page. He also wanted to create a personalized logo for the website
Website design
After a few rounds of revisions we ended up with a design that Petro liked. I also gave him access to the site's CMS so that he could start populating the website with his work. After he added his content the website really felt unique and showcased his work beautifully.
Logo design
Petro wanted the website's logo to look modern and high end. I believe the end logo reflects that. I decided to use a Ukrainian-esque font that not only separated him from all the similar logos that high end content creators use but it also added a touch of his Ukrainian roots.
Background video
Because Petro wanted to make sure the website was optimized, we needed to make sure his background video fit under 30mb. Working back and forth with Petro, I edited and compressed the video content he wanted to fit within that file size.
Website launch
With the background video set and the website filled with Petro's work we were able to launch the website for the world to see. Now Petro can link to his contact page on his instagram and he also has a website link on his google maps listing. He can also direct client prospects to view his work on his personal website. It was my pleasure to help build a website for my good friend Petro.
